Heather J. Briggs

Heather J. Briggs has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Heather J. is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans since 2023. Previously, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Studio Distribution Services from 2020 to 2023, where they played a key role in merging two major studios and establishing new organizational processes. Additionally, they served as the VP Finance at NBCUniversal Media, LLC from 2016 to 2020, overseeing financial and supply chain accounting. Prior to that, they worked as a Controller at DreamWorks Animation and as an Assurance Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP. Heather also has experience as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Northridge. In 2021, they were a Chief Member at Chief, a private network for senior women leaders.

Heather J. Briggs obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from California State University, Northridge, where they attended from 1995 to 1998. In 2003, they obtained the CPA certification from the California State Board of Accountancy. Currently, they are in progress of obtaining the Hudson Coach Certification from the Hudson Institute of Coaching.
