Giridhar Manepalli

Giridhar Manepalli has a strong background in technology and research. Giridhar currently holds the position of Vice President of Technology at Motion Picture Laboratories, Inc. (MovieLabs), where they oversee technology advancements. Before that, they worked as a Senior Scientist in Artificial Intelligence at the same company. Prior to their position at MovieLabs, Giridhar worked as a Researcher at HAND (Human & Digital) from 2021 to 2023. There, they advised on system architecture and data modeling approaches, as well as explored conflict-free replicated data types for software implementation. Giridhar also has experience at the Corporation for National Research Initiatives, where they served as the Director of Technology from 2012 to 2021, overseeing the operations of a global identifier system and collaborating with various sectors to develop software systems. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the same organization from 2006 to 2012, where they co-created the open-source Cordra platform. At the Old Dominion University Research Foundation, Giridhar was a Researcher from 2003 to 2005, involved in projects related to digital data archival and simulation modeling.
