David Helton

David Helton is the current VP of Program & Systems at Motional. Prior to this, they were with Hyundai-Aptiv Autonomous Driving Joint Venture (formerly part of Aptiv) and Aptiv. Helton began their career in September 1986 as Director Of Engineering at Delphi Automated Drive and Connected Vehicles, where they worked for 34 years until August 2020.

David Helton has a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Purdue University. David also has certification from Shainin LLC in Shanin Top 5 Executive & Green Y.

David Helton reports to Karl Iagnemma, President & CEO. David Helton works with Abe Ghabra - VP, Global Operations, Patrick Jamieson - VP, Strategy & Corporate Development, and Gretchen Effgen - VP, Go to Market and Marketing.
