John Carano

John Carano has extensive experience in the automotive industry, specializing in quality operations and vehicle engineering. At Motional, John served as Senior Director of Vehicle Engineering and Manufacturing and previously held the position of Technical Program Manager for Autonomous Vehicles. Prior experience at General Motors included roles as Director of Quality Operations, managing a large team at the Lordstown Assembly, and overseeing quality and engineering in various capacities. John's career began at Daimler Chrysler as a Quality Engineer, and John progressed through multiple roles at General Motors Packard Electric, including Manufacturing Supervisor and Customer Contact Engineer. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University.
