Matthias Wissel

Matthias Wissel has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning engineering. Matthias currently holds a position as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Motius, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Capgemini as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer from 2017 to 2021. In this role, they were involved in various projects, including the development of an AWS-based MLOps platform, leading a global hackathon, and architecting a Big Data platform for aircraft data processing. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Capgemini from 2018 to 2020 and as a Data Scientist from 2017 to 2018. Before their time at Capgemini, Matthias held internship positions at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, AXA, and BMW Group, gaining experience in IT, sales, risk management, and research and development.

Matthias Wissel completed their Bachelor of Science in Mathematik from The University of Bonn, which they attended from 2009 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Mathematics in Science and Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, graduating in 2016.
