Gabriel Alpuerto has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.
Gabriel is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer at Motiv Space Systems, Inc. since June 2022. Prior to this, they were an Academic Part Time Engineer at the same company from September 2021 to June 2022. Gabriel also worked as an Engineering Intern at Motiv Space Systems, Inc. from June 2021 to September 2021.
In addition, Gabriel has held various roles at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science. Gabriel worked as an Innovation Lab Staff Member at the Boelter Hall MakerSpace from September 2018 to June 2022. Gabriel was also an Accelerator for UCLA eTransfers MATLAB Instructor from August 2021 to September 2021. Furthermore, they served as a UCLA HSSEAS Transfer Bridge Mentor in June 2020 and August 2019.
Gabriel was actively involved in ASME at UCLA and held the position of President from April 2019 to May 2021. Gabriel also served as the Fabrication and Design Essentials Lead from April 2018 to April 2019.
Additionally, Gabriel has experience as a SMASH TA at SMASH in June and July 2019. Gabriel also worked as a Maintenance and Reliability Intern at Chevron from June to August 2018.
Earlier in their career, Gabriel served as a UCLA HSSEAS High School Tech Camp Mentor from June to August 2017.
Gabriel Alpuerto pursued their education with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Starting from 2016 until 2021, they attended UCLA where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. During this time, they further enhanced their technical skills in the field. In January 2021, Gabriel earned the certification of Certified SolidWorks Associate from Dassault Systèmes. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at UCLA from 2021 to 2022, completing their Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
