James J.

James J. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James is currently working at Motiv Space Systems, Inc. as a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, a position they started in January 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Manufacturing Engineer at the same company from February 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining Motiv Space Systems, Inc., James worked at Delta-V Technologies as a Manufacturing Development Engineer from March 2021 to February 2022.

From June 2018 to March 2021, James was a Level II Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX.

In 2013, James founded and developed a craft distillery and brand called Mogul Distillery. James managed the business as the owner and operator until September 2017, overseeing all aspects including sales, compliance, and staffing.

James gained valuable experience at Rolls-Royce North America, where they held multiple roles. From June 2010 to December 2016, they served as a Manufacturing Engineer/Supplier Quality - Purchasing, focusing on supplier quality and resolving manufacturing issues. James started as a Service Engineering Intern from June 2009 to August 2009, working on in-flight engine issues for the V22 Osprey. In 2008, they worked as a Plant Supplier Quality Engineer Intern, assisting suppliers in identifying root-cause issues for quality escapes.

James also has experience as a Team Leader at LeadAmerica, where they served in the summer of 2007.

James J. received their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Indianapolis from 2011 to 2013. During their time at the University of Indianapolis, James focused on Supply Chain Management and International Business.
