Ramy Hariz

Mechanical & Project Engineer at Motiv Space Systems, Inc.

Ramy Hariz has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering, with a focus on mechanical design. From 2016 onwards, they worked at Motiv Space Systems, where they served as a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for the design and assembly of various components for the Mars 2020 Rover Robotic Arm Project. Ramy had extensive experience with SolidWorks and worked closely with manufacturing, quality, and vendors. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2016, Ramy worked at the California Air Resources Board as a Student Assistant Engineering and Architectural Science. Here, they were involved in tasks such as database management, reviewing permit applications, and conducting research on emissions-related parts. In 2012, they worked at LSK Suspension as a Designer/Fabricator, where they created 3D models and manufactured parts for off-road suspensions. Ramy also has experience in the automotive industry, as they were part of the Cal Poly Pomona SAE Baja team from 2011 to 2013. In this role, they led the engineering efforts for body panels and suspension components, including tasks such as composite layup, laser cutting, welding, and machining operations.

Ramy Hariz completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. Ramy pursued their education at this institution from 2010 to 2016.
