Joan Wu

Joan Wu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joan began their career in 1999 at HSBC, where they worked in Trade Finance until 2001. Joan then joined The Walt Disney Company in 2002 for a full-time internship in Sports Management & Finance. In 2004, they moved to Clear Channel Communications, where they worked in Corporate Development & Treasury Finance until 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Transocean, starting as a Sr. Analyst in Corporate Planning/Corporate Finance and later becoming the Manager of Corporate Finance. During their time at Transocean, they gained experience in forecasting, M&A modeling, financing agreements, and financial modeling. In 2012, they joined ConocoPhillips as a Finance Consultant in Treasury, where they handled corporate bond issuance, bank relationship management, and lease structuring. Most recently, they have been working at Motiva Enterprises LLC, starting as an Assistant Treasurer in 2017 and currently serving as the VP & Treasurer.

Joan Wu completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance at Nanjing University from 1995 to 1999. Joan later pursued an MBA in Accounting & Corporate Finance at the University of Kentucky from 2001 to 2003. In 2007, Joan Wu obtained the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification from the Association for Financial Professionals.
