Maximilian Sauter joined Motive Partners in 2023 as a Principal on the Motive Ventures investment team based out of the Berlin office. At Motive, Maximilian is responsible for analyzing and executing investment opportunities for the Motive Ventures platform.
Prior to joining Motive, Maximilian was a Principal of embedded/capital, a Berlin-based early-stage financial technology investment firm, which was acquired by Motive Partners in February 2023, to form the venture arm of the Motive Partners platform. Before joining the company, Maximilian worked as Principal, focusing on M&A and strategy advisory at Altman Solon, the world's largest M&A and strategy consulting firm focused exclusively on Technology, Media, and Telecommunications. He advised large-cap private equity clients on more than 30 technology and telco transaction. Maximilian started his career at Ernst & Young where he also focused on Technology and Telco M&A advisory.
Max holds an MBA from INSEAD, as well as a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Management from Technical University in Munich.
