Rex Jakobovits

Rex Jakobovits is the Co-Founder and President of Motivity. Rex has over 20 years of experience in the field of radiology and has held various positions throughout their career. Rex has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Rex began their career as an Informatics Systems Developer at the Division of Teleradiology, Dept. of Radiological Sciences, UCLA. Rex then went on to become the President and Founder of Vivalog Technologies, which was acquired by McKesson in 2008. Rex spent five years at McKesson, where they served as the Vice President in charge of developing, selling, and servicing a new line of software products for radiologists and cardiologists within the Medical Imaging Group.

In 2013, Rex left McKesson to co-found Motivity, a company that provides content management solutions to hospitals and universities. Motivity's products and services are used by hundreds of institutions to transform heterogeneous clinical data into structured knowledge for collaborative research and education. Rex continues to serve as the President of Motivity, overseeing all operations and strategic initiatives.

Rex Jakobovits has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington. Rex also has a BA in Computer Science and English from Rutgers University. Rex has attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Kalani High School.
