Jennifer Harris

Co-Founder at MOTIVO - Independence by Design

Jennifer Harris has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jennifer co-founded MOTIVO - Independence by Design in 2012, with a focus on designing products for people rather than patients. Based in New Berlin, WI, Jennifer utilized their extensive product design background to bring this mission to life. In the same year, they also co-founded Empathium Design, LLC. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Jennifer worked at SC Johnson as a New Product Incubator from 2008 to 2012. Jennifer also held roles at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they served as a Lecturer in Jewelry and Metalsmithing/3D Design, as well as a Community Outreach Workshop Coordinator in Art & Design from 2005 to 2008. Before that, they worked as a Designer at Higher Ground/Shaun Jackson Design Inc. from 2000 to 2001.

Jennifer Harris attended the University of Michigan from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. Jennifer'sfield of study during this time was Industrial Design, specifically focusing on Metalwork and Jewelry Design. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree at SUNY New Paltz. Jennifer'sfield of study at SUNY New Paltz was Design, with a specialization in Metal.
