Jeremy Knopow has over 20 years of diverse work experience in various roles and industries.
Jeremy is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of MOTIVO - Independence by Design, a company focused on designing independent living products. Prior to this role, they co-founded Empathium Design, LLC.
Jeremy has also held positions at Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design as an Adjunct Professor in 3D Design. Jeremy has worked at SC Johnson as a Sr. New Product Incubator, where they led a team in exploring and developing new business opportunities. At the same company, they also served as the R&D Lead, focusing on creating sustainable solutions for social and humanitarian needs in developing communities worldwide.
Previously, they worked as a Manager of Industrial Design at Fiskars, where they led the growth of the global Industrial Design resources. Jeremy has also worked for Kohler Co. as the GM of Kohler Mobile Plumbing, leading a project to provide mobile shower facilities for 9/11 Ground Zero rescue workers.
Earlier in their career, Jeremy gained experience at Procter & Gamble as an Intern in Industrial Design and Manufacturing Engineering roles. Jeremy also worked as an Assistant Machinist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and as an Intern in Automotive Braking Engineering at Bosch North America.
Overall, Jeremy brings a wide range of expertise in innovation, product design, research, and development to their current role at MOTIVO.
Jeremy Knopow attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1994 to 1998, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jeremy then pursued further education at the same university from 1998 to 2001, earning a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Industrial Design. Later, from 2001 to 2003, Jeremy enrolled in Marquette University, where they completed 22 out of 33 credit hours towards a partial Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing.
