Lyn Kim has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they worked as a NOP Blogger for the National Korean American Service & Education Consortium. In 2012, they were a Project Assistant for the Department of Landscape Architecture/Community and Environmental Sociology. In 2014, they were a Landscape Architecture Intern for EPTDESIGN and a Research Assistant for the Environmental Design Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2015, they were a Designer for Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects and an Urban Planning Intern for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM). In 2016, they were a Designer for MJS Landscape Architecture. From 2018 to 2022, they were an Urban Designer for SWA Group. Currently, they are a Full Stack Software Engineer for Motivo, building a platform to provide therapists and mental health agencies with the tools they need to obtain licensure and receive/provide clinical supervision online.
Lyn Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Certificate in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Certificate in Beyond Smart Cities: Emerging Design and Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Study Abroad in Design Studies from Peking University, a Study Abroad in Open Space Design - Student GIS Specialist from The Cloud Forest School, and a Responsive Web Design certification from freeCodeCamp obtained in September 2021.
