Prior to joining the venture fund, Brendan was a senior analyst in the Motley Fool’s U.S. investing team. For six years, he found and followed great companies for David and Tom Gardner as a researcher and writer for Stock Advisor, Motley Fool One, and Supernova. His duties included sourcing market-beating stock ideas, following company performance, and clearly communicating with members. He is part of the Motley Fool’s 401K committee, where he evaluates mutual funds for fellow employees. Prior to joining The Fool, Brendan worked in Accenture’s strategy consulting practice and at a large California hedge fund.
He graduated with distinction from University of Virginia (B.A. Economics), and he earned an M.B.A. from UC-Berkeley. Brendan lives in Charlottesville, VA. with his wife and daughter.
