Leanne Christmas

Leanne Christmas has extensive work experience in risk management and compliance. Leanne is currently employed at MotoNovo Finance as a Risk Director. Prior to that, they held the role of Risk & Audit Committee member at the Government of Jersey. Leanne previously worked at BMW Financial Services (GB) Ltd as the Head of Controlling. Leanne also served as the Director of Compliance & MLRO at both BMW Financial Services (GB) Ltd and Alphabet GB. Additionally, Leanne held various compliance roles at Alphabet GB, including Head of Compliance and Interim Head of Compliance. Before joining the private sector, they worked as an Associate Director at RSM UK. Leanne's earlier career includes roles at Barclays UK Retail and Business Bank, Barclays Bank plc, Barclays Global Retail Bank, and the British Army.

Leanne Christmas has a diverse education history with a focus on compliance, law, and journalism. In 1993, they attended Jersey College for Girls and completed their A-levels. Leanne later pursued a BA (Hons) in Journalism & Business at the University of Central Lancashire from 2001 to 2004. Following that, Leanne obtained an ACA qualification from ICAEW in 2007. In 2009, they enrolled at The Open University and completed their MSc in Development Management in 2013. Leanne then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law from 2012 to 2015. In 2019, they pursued a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, Risk & Compliance from the International Compliance Association. Additionally, Leanne became a Mental Health First Aider after completing a course with Mental Health First Aid England in 2020.
