Nick Back

Nick Back has over two decades of experience in finance and leadership roles within the oil and gas sector. Currently, Nick serves as the Director of Group Financial Control at Motor Fuel Group, where responsibilities include strategic decision-making and overseeing financial operations. Previously, Nick held key positions at Murphy Oil, including Head of Treasury, Tax and Pensions, where significant achievements included managing financial control for a £4bn turnover business and leading the finance team during a period of major expansion. Prior roles included Finance Controller, Finance Manager, Refinery Accountant, and Internal Auditor. Nick began their career as an Audit Senior at Arthur Andersen. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in International Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Politics from the University of Warwick, along with ongoing professional development through the ICAEW.
