David Freiburger has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. David started their career as a Parts Delivery employee at Burbank Dodge in 1985 before moving on to work as a Machine Shop Assistant at Glendale Machine and Balance in 1987. In 1988, they joined Jacobs Electronics as the Sales and Marketing Manager until 1991. David then joined Motor Trend Group in 1991, where they held various editorial positions, including Editor in Chief of Hot Rod Magazine and Editor of Rod & Custom Magazine, Car Craft Magazine, and 4-Wheel & Off-Road Magazine. From 2007 to 2009, Freiburger worked as the President of Car Junkie TV. David returned to Motor Trend Group in 2009 as the Editor in Chief of Hot Rod Magazine and eventually assumed the role of SVP Content Strategy in 2015.
