Douglas Palmer has a long and varied career in the automotive and technology industries. Douglas began their career in 2002 as the Director of Technology at Deutsch. In 2005, they moved to The Designory, where they served as Technical Program Director. In 2009, they became a consultant, providing full stack development, technology vision, architecture, digital strategy, and product development. That same year, they also joined TBWA\\Chiat\\Day as Technology Lead. From 2010 to 2011, they worked at Siltanen + Partners as Director of Digital Production & Technology. From 2011 to 2014, they were VP, Technology & Innovation at INNOCEAN USA. Finally, in 2019, they joined motormindz as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

Douglas Palmer attended Kalamazoo College from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science and Psychology. Douglas then transferred to Western Michigan University from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Sociology. In 2017, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management to obtain a certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy. In 2018, they obtained an additional certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
