Simon Rees is an experienced photographer and founder of SPEEDPhotography, with a career spanning over 18 years in motorsport photography. Currently serving as a photographer for Motorsport Australia since May 2023, Simon has also held media photography positions with the Australian National Drag Racing Association and Australian GT, as well as a media photographer role for V8Supercars at significant race meetings. Simon possesses CAMS media accreditation and has freelanced in various capacities within the motorsport photography realm since May 2005. Educational background includes attendance at Watsonia Teach from 1980 to 1985.

Motorsport Australia

Motorsport Australia is a not-for-profit member-based organisation focused on the development, regulation and administration of motorsport across Australia. Previously known as the Confederation of Australia Motor Sport (CAMS), Motorsport Australia changed its trading name on 1 January 2020 to better reflect its standing as the peak body for motorsport in Australia. Motorsport Australia has a proud history and has been the custodian of motorsport in Australia since 1953. The organisation is the Australian delegated National Sporting Authority (ASN) by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the governing body for world motorsport and the federation of the world’s leading motoring organisations; a responsibility held since 1958.
