Viktor Varkarakis

Viktor Varkarakis, PhD, is currently working as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Motorway, focusing on developing and productionizing computer vision models. Prior to this role, they worked at Xperi Corporation as a Machine Learning R&D Engineer, focusing on new product/IP development in imaging solutions. With a background in electrical and electronics engineering at the University of Galway and a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Piraeus, Viktor also completed a PhD industrial partnership with Xperi Corporation, where they worked on projects involving computer vision models and iris segmentation algorithms for AR/VR cases. Additionally, they have experience as a research intern at FotoNation.
