Dr Martin Wilcox

Dr. Martin Wilcox is a distinguished Technical Director at Mott MacDonald, where responsibilities include leading the Global Practice for Integrated Energy Systems since September 2016. With extensive experience in the power sector across various global locations, Dr. Wilcox specializes in enhancing utility operations and guiding investment decisions in transmission and distribution. Previously, leadership roles at UK Power Networks included Head of Future Networks, where management of a £12 million budget and a team of 25 resulted in significant advancements in innovation and operational efficiency. As Technology Innovation and Standards Manager, key contributions included successful bids for multi-million pound projects and regulatory compliance initiatives. Dr. Wilcox also brings expertise from earlier roles at Detica and Philips Research Laboratories, complemented by a PhD in Electronic Engineering from UCL and an MEng from the University of Nottingham.
