Jacques Barnard

Jacques Barnard has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jacques is currently employed at Mott MacDonald, where they serve as a Project Principal and Water Resource Groups Manager for Northern Ireland, Ireland, and Scotland. Jacques is also the Water Sector Team Lead at the company. Prior to joining Mott MacDonald in 2019, Jacques worked at GIBB Engineering and Architecture as an Associate from 2013 to 2018. Jacques also worked as a Senior Technologist at Camdekon Engineers cc from 2010 to 2013 and as an Engineer at JBA Consulting Ltd from 2009 to 2010. Before that, they worked as a Principal Engineer at White Young Green from 2006 to 2009. Jacques started their career at Arup Consulting Engineers as a Senior Engineering Technician from 2002 to 2006 and as a Civil Engineering Technician at SSI Engineers & Environmental Consultants from 1998 to 2002. Jacques began their professional journey as a Technician at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality in 1996.

Jacques Barnard obtained a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from Port Elizabeth Technikon, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Jacques then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Water Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002. In 2017, Jacques obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
