Derek Horton

Derek Horton is an experienced maintenance professional currently serving as the Maintenance Planning Superintendent at Mount Gibson Iron since October 2019. Prior positions include Supervisor - Ancillary at Newmont Mining Corporation from September 2018 to October 2019, Maintenance Supervisor at Macmahon from October 2017 to September 2018, and Workshop Superintendent at Watpac Limited from June 2010 to October 2017. Derek also held the role of Maintenance Superintendent at Downer Mining from November 2008 to June 2010. Derek's foundational education was acquired at Cosgrove High School from 1988 to 1989.
