Heather Lake joined the MORA team in 2020 as a Senior Program Director. She brings over 22 years of experience in the disability field, the last 16 as a Regional Director with Living Well Disability Services. She has held several different roles including direct support professional, house supervisor, counselor, volunteer coordinator, and director. She brings experience chairing committees such as data governance and technology, and has served on committees for training, self-advocacy, grief support, and quality outcomes. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology and a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Rehabilitation Psychology. She is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and a CPR instructor. Heather created a Resilience Group at her former employer and brings many tools for helping people weather difficult times.
Heather oversees 12 homes at MORA. She brings a passion for working with people of all abilities, versatility, and a strong person-centered philosophy. Heather believes that everyone has a voice, and it is our job to listen and learn what each person is trying to say.
