Samantha Wigington

Samantha Wigington currently serves as a Senior Development Officer at Mount Royal University since September 2024. Prior to this role, Samantha held various positions at the United Way of Calgary and Area from February 2017 to August 2024, including Philanthropy Officer, Lead in Individual Giving & Affinity Groups, and Manager of Philanthropy & Engagement. Additionally, Samantha worked at the Vecova Centre for Disability Services and Research as a Fund Development Assistant, where responsibilities included grant applications and overseeing fundraising initiatives. Earlier experience includes serving as the Outdoor Services Supervisor at The Glencoe Golf & Country Club and a Marketing and Communications Intern at Canada's Sports Hall of Fame. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies and International Relations and Affairs from the University of Calgary, along with an Extension Certificate in Digital Graphic Design from Mount Royal University.
