Kelby Thwaits

Kelby Thwaits has a diverse background in the media and entertainment industry. Kelby is currently the Director of Film, Television & Photography at Mount Saint Mary's University, where they also serve as a Professor in Film, Media, and Music. Prior to this, they worked as the Technical Director of Film & Television at the same institution.

Before their tenure at Mount Saint Mary's University, Kelby worked as a Media Producer, Writer, Director, and Composer at E-Fusion Studios. Kelby also has experience as a Professional Actor, Singer, Musician, and Multi-Media Artist, with their work being featured in various mediums such as film, television, radio, theatre, and video games.

Kelby has also held positions as a Media Producer at Red 5 Studios, Stage 5 TV, and Incendant LLC. In addition, they worked as a Writer, Producer, and Director at Guess Who Multimedia and as a Media Producer at gnet agency.

Earlier in their career, Kelby worked as an Audio Video Engineer at Universal Studios Hollywood and a Visual Effects Artist at EFILM. Their combination of technical skills and creative talents make him a well-rounded professional in the media industry.

Kelby Thwaits has a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance, Composition, and Theater from the University of Arizona. They also hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in Motion Picture/Television, Music Production, and Sound Design for Visual Media from the Academy of Art University. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Audio/Video Production from the University of Arizona. Kelby Thwaits has additional certifications as an Avid Certified Instructor for Media Composer and Pro Tools from Avid Technology, as well as a certification as a DaVinci Resolve Certified Trainer from Blackmagic Design.
