Loren Ornelas

Adjunct Professor at Mount Saint Mary's University

Loren Ornelas, BS, MBA, PMP, currently serves as the Manager of the Cedars-Sinai Biomanufacturing Center, having held various research positions at Cedars-Sinai since 2010, including Research Associate IV and III. Loren has successfully generated over 100 iPSC lines and led projects for the NIH/CIRM Huntington’s Disease Consortium. Additionally, Loren developed a widely-used ordering system for cell lines and created a comprehensive training course for iPSC culture techniques. As an Adjunct Professor at Mount Saint Mary's University, Loren designs lab courses focused on cell culture. Previous experience includes a research project at the University of Utah on Huntington’s Disease and maintaining laboratory operations at Cedars-Sinai. Loren holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and a B.S. in Biology and English from Mount Saint Mary's University.
