Kate Major

Kate Major has extensive experience in educational leadership and student wellbeing, currently serving as a Tutor for the Leadership in Schools subject at the University of Melbourne since July 2023. Major has held prominent roles at Mount Scopus Memorial College as Acting Deputy Principal and Director of Student Wellbeing since January 2021, and previously as Director of Wellbeing at Firbank Grammar School from September 2016 to January 2021. Earlier positions include School and Community Educator at Family Planning Victoria and Sessional Educator at Family Life Victoria, along with a role as Head of Year 9 at Firbank Grammar School. Major holds a Master's degree in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor's degree in Science/Education from Monash University.
