John C. Chaloupka has a diverse work experience in the medical field. John C. started their career in 1995 as a consultant at Cordis Endovascular and later worked as a consultant at Boston Scientific, Micrus Endovascular, and Penumbra Inc. In 1998, they became a Professor & Director at UIHC, where they worked until 2011. In the same year, they joined Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach as the Chief of Neuro-Endovascular Surgery/Neuro-Interventional Services and a Professor. John C. also served as a Medical Consultant at Stryker, MicroVention-Terumo, and Penumbra Inc. throughout their career.

John C. Chaloupka completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Union College from 1978 to 1982. John C. then pursued their medical education at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, obtaining their Doctor of Medicine degree from 1982 to 1986.
