Mount Washington Observatory
Brian Fitzgerald serves as the Director of Science & Education at Mount Washington Observatory since April 2016, bringing extensive experience in meteorological observation and education. Prior roles include Chief Observer and Co-Educator at Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory, where BHO has maintained the longest continuously running climate record in the U.S., and various positions at Mount Washington Observatory, including Weather Observer and Education Specialist. Additional experience includes roles as Backcountry Education Assistant, Naturalist, and Camp Assistant Director in outdoor and educational settings. Brian Fitzgerald holds a Master of Education in Science Education from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources with a focus on Environmental Education from the University of New Hampshire.

Mount Washington Observatory is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create the Earth's weather and climate. Since 1932, the Observatory has been monitoring the elements from its weather station on the summit of Mount Washington, using this unique site for scientific research and educational outreach.
