Gwynne Rukenbrod Smith

Gwynne Rukenbrod Smith is an experienced professional currently serving as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for AIGA Asheville since February 2024. Gwynne has held multiple roles at Mountain BizWorks since April 2020, including Business Growth Specialist and Craft Your Commerce Program Director. Previous positions include Senior Director of Programs and Partnerships at the American Craft Council and Executive Director at the Society of North American Goldsmiths. Gwynne also served as Board Chair for the North Carolina Glass Center and held various leadership roles in other organizations, with expertise in business coaching and strategy. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University, alongside an educational background at Laurel School.
