Kari Austin

Kari Austin has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Kari started their career in 2008 as an Accountant/Accounts Examiner with the State of Alabama, where they worked until 2011. From 2011 to 2017, they held different roles with the Jefferson County Board of Education. Kari first served as an Accounts Payable Manager from December 2011 to July 2013, and then as an Assistant Director of Finance from August 2013 to November 2017. Since December 2017, Kari has been working as the Chief School Finance Officer for Mountain Brook Schools.

Kari Austin earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Jacksonville State University, where they attended from 2000 to 2004. In addition, they obtained a certification in School Finance and Operations from ASBO International in January 2019.
