Jim Smith

Jim Smith has extensive experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry, currently serving as a Board Member for the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association since December 2023, where assistance is provided in navigating political, legal, and operational challenges. As the Founder of Cascades Coffee House since July 2019 and an Area Developer for Mountain Mike's Pizza since 2017, Jim is actively involved in both coffee and pizza sectors in Oregon. Previous roles include Vice President of Operations at Tava Indian Kitchen, where leadership was given in developing a restaurant concept, and Director of Operations at Mimis Cafe, overseeing multiple restaurants in California and Arizona. Additional experience includes key positions at Starbucks, Jack in the Box, and Taco Bell, focusing on operational systems and financial accountability. Jim holds a BS in Political Science from Southern Oregon University and attended Oregon State University.
