Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care

A community-based, not-for-profit agency founded in 1988, Mountain Valley Hospice seeks to make hospice care available to all appropriate patients and families in Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery and Saratoga Counties regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation or ability to pay. In providing care to persons with life-limiting illnesses, the goal of hospice is to alleviate symptoms – physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, and social – enabling patients and families to concentrate on living as comfortably and fully as possible. Patient-centered care allows control to remain with the patient and those supporting them. Mountain Valley Hospice provides care that is palliative, holistic and supportive. We are honored to serve our patients in their home or ours. What matters most to our patients and their families becomes the center of a care plan tailored to each patient’s individual goals and priorities. Whether our patients are establishing residence in the Nancy Dowd Hospice Home or remaining in their own homes, Mountain Valley Hospice’s registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, masters-prepared social workers, certified home health aides, chaplain, massage therapists, aromatherapists, and pet therapists are just a few of the caregivers our patients may meet along their journey.
