Michelle Bissonnette is an experienced education professional with a robust background in community outreach, policy advisory, and teaching, currently serving as a Community Outreach Specialist and former English Language Arts educator within the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District since August 1998. Michelle has also held significant leadership roles, including President of the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District Teachers Association from July 2012 to June 2017, where responsibilities included policy strategy and management of the representative council. As a Special Assistant for Teacher Quality at the United States Department of Education from 2009 to 2011, Michelle contributed to policy development and evaluation focused on teacher effectiveness. Additionally, Michelle has served as an Education Consultant at SRI International, working on national evaluation projects. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Urban High School Leadership and Administration from San Jose State University and various degrees and credentials in education from other institutions.
