Mountain View High School
Shannon Porfilio is an experienced French educator with a career spanning over two decades, currently teaching at Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District since August 2019. Previous positions include teaching at the Bellevue School District, Foothill High School, De La Salle Institute, Christian Brothers College High School, Marquette Catholic High School, Toms River Regional Schools, and West Seneca West High School, where responsibilities encompassed teaching French levels 1-5AP, advising French Clubs and Honor Societies, and redesigning curricula. Shannon has actively participated in professional development, led educational tours to France and Europe, and contributed to various educational committees while holding a Master’s degree in French from Saint Louis University and additional degrees in Second Language Education and French from the University at Buffalo.
