VP of Revenue Cycle at Mountainside

Chelsi Munning has a diverse work experience in the field of addiction counseling and case management. Chelsi started their career in 2010 at the Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism, where they worked as a Detox Counselor and Case Manager. In this role, they provided counseling services and managed cases related to substance abuse.

Following their time at the Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism, Chelsi joined Mountainside in 2011 as an Intake Specialist, responsible for assessing clients' needs and facilitating their entry into treatment programs. Chelsi then transitioned into the role of Utilization Review and Billing Coordinator, where they handled insurance claims and ensured proper billing procedures.

Chelsi continued to grow within Mountainside, taking on the role of Assistant Manager of Utilization Review in 2013. In this position, they supervised a team and coordinated the utilization review process for clients. Chelsi then advanced to the role of Utilization Review Manager and Program Development in 2014, contributing to the development and improvement of utilization review protocols.

In 2017, Chelsi was promoted to Senior Manager of the Revenue Cycle at Mountainside, overseeing the financial aspects of the organization and managing revenue collection processes. Chelsi held this role until 2019 and then transitioned to the position of Vice President of Revenue Cycle. In this capacity, they were responsible for leading the revenue cycle team and implementing strategies to optimize revenue generation.

Throughout their career, Chelsi Munning has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in revenue cycle management, and a commitment to providing high-quality addiction treatment services.

Chelsi Munning, LADC, LCSW, CASAC M, CPC-A, has a diverse educational background. Chelsi obtained their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Fordham University, completing their studies from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Criminology from John Jay College (CUNY), where they studied between 2008 and 2010. In 2006 to 2008, Chelsi attended Dutchess Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science.

In addition to their formal education, Chelsi Munning has also earned various certifications in their field. These include their designation as a CASAC Master Counselor from the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports, obtained in July 2018. Chelsi also holds the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC, acquired in November 2017, and has received their basic certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy from EMDR Therapy in October 2017.

Chelsi has obtained licensure in multiple professional capacities. Chelsi is a Licensed Master Social Worker granted by the ASWB (Association of Social Work Boards), having achieved this status in April 2016. Chelsi is also a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, obtaining this license in January 2016. Most recently, Chelsi Munning became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the ASWB in March 2021.
