Cathy Bassett

Cathy Bassett currently serves as the Director of Communications and Community Relations at Mountaire Farms, a position held since September 2018. Bassett is also the President of CMBassett Consulting, LLC, a marketing and public relations consultancy founded in May 2009, offering services such as grant writing and web content development. Previously, Bassett held the role of Director of Public Relations at Allen Harim Foods from January 2017 to September 2018 and served as Communications Director/District Director for U.S. Rep. Wayne T. Gilchrest from May 1992 to December 2008, leading communications strategies and serving as the primary spokesperson. Additionally, Bassett was a senior reporter at The Daily Times from June 1989 to May 1992, overseeing reporting assignments. Bassett holds a degree in International Affairs with a focus on Communications from The George Washington University, earned between 1984 and 1989.
