Ann Norris

Ann received her Bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse before receiving her PhD

in Materials Engineering Science from Virginia Tech. She worked at Dow Corning Corporation for 28 years conducting polymer chemistry research and product development. While there she gained extensive experience in the chemical industry, specializing in polymer science and nanomaterials. She also has expertise in corporate collaboration with universities and customer partners through her work at Dow Corning. Ann now lives in Blacksburg, VA, where she currently resides on the Department of Chemistry Advisory Council at Virginia Tech, which works to support the Chemistry department through several different avenues.
