Alfred Grau Besoli has held various positions in the engineering field since 2001. Alfred began their career as a Network Engineer at LCC in 2001, then moved on to a Research Intern at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique in the same year. Alfred then became a Software Engineer at GTD in 2002, while also taking on a Graduate Research Assistant (MS and PhD) role at the University of California, Irvine. Alfred then joined Broadcom in 2008 as an MMwave Antenna/RF Engineer, and is currently in the same role at Movandi since 2016.

Alfred Grau Besoli has a diverse educational background. Alfred received a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 1995-2001, followed by a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Irvine in 2002-2004. Alfred then earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC Irvine in 2004-2007, specializing in Electromagnetics, Antenna systems, and RF/microwave systems. In 2014-2015, they completed a Postgraduate degree in Quantitative Techniques for Financial Products from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2016, they completed two courses from the Stanford Center for Professional Development: STATS 242: Algorithmic Trading and Quantitative Strategies and STATS 315B: Modern Applied Statistics: Data Mining. Finally, they are currently enrolled in a Artificial Intelligence Graduate Certificate program at Stanford University School of Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
