Bas Nap

Bas Nap has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering). Bas has held various roles in different companies, starting from Lucent Technologies Bell Labs innovations in 1998, where they supported multiple divisions in network management systems. Bas then worked at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise as a Teamlead for EBH solutions support and later as a Senior OSS Architect. In Nokia, they served as the Principal System Architect for Proactive Network Monitoring, leading a development team and implementing deploy automation systems. At Symbotic, Bas Nap managed observability and analytics, designing and implementing monitoring systems. Bas later joined TraceLink as a Senior Manager of Cloud Engineering, overseeing infrastructure and platform architecture. After that, they worked at Interactions LLC as the Sr. Director of DevOps/SRE & Data, driving efficient processes for platform and infrastructure deployments. Bas'smost recent role is at CircleBlack, where they served as the Director of DevOps and SRE before joining MoveHQ as the Director of DevOps, focusing on security protocols, compliance, and automation of CI/CD pipelines.

Bas Nap earned a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering (Information Theory) from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 1991 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained certifications from Cisco, including CCNP in 2006 and CCNA in 2005. Bas also received the NRS2 certification from Alcatel-Lucent.
