Jasmine S. is an experienced advocate and legal professional currently serving as the Executive Director of Movement for Family Power since October 2023 and as Co-Founder and Co-Director of just futures LLC since August 2019, providing research and advocacy consultancy focused on transforming punitive systems. Previous roles include serving as Policy and Research Manager for Criminal Justice at FWD.us, where Jasmine managed decarceration campaigns and drafted key legislation, and as an Aryeh Neier Fellow at both ACLU and Human Rights Watch, concentrating on discriminatory prosecutions and pretrial incarceration. Early career experiences include a Law Clerk position at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and various advocacy roles in organizations dedicated to social justice and legal aid. Jasmine holds a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a focus on Critical Race Studies and Public Interest Law and Policy, and a degree in Critical Gender Studies and Sociology from UC San Diego.
