Movement Matters Therapy is an allied health practice based in Alice Springs (Mparntwe), delivering Exercise Physiology, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and Allied Health Assistant services across Central Australia.

We support people across the lifespan, from babies and young children through to healthy ageing. Our work focuses on supporting people living with disability, developmental delay, chronic health conditions, recovering from injury, chronic pain and complex needs.

What makes our work unique is where we do it.

Central Australia presents both challenges and opportunities in healthcare. Many people living in rural and remote communities have limited access to allied health services. We are committed to improving access to high-quality care through person-centred, trauma-informed services that are grounded in culture, community and connection.

We believe meaningful health outcomes come from strong relationships. Our team works closely with clients, families, support coordinators, GPs and community organisations to deliver practical, respectful and tailored therapy that supports people to move well and live well.

We work with people accessing services through NDIS, WorkCover, Medicare, DVA, and private funding.

A place to build a meaningful career

Movement Matters Therapy is also a place for clinicians who want their work to truly matter.

Working in Central Australia offers the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills, build meaningful relationships with community, and see the real impact of your work every day. Our team values curiosity, collaboration, cultural awareness and continuous learning.

Many clinicians come to Alice Springs for the experience of rural health and stay because of the community, lifestyle and the impact they can have.

We are growing and always interested in connecting with allied health professionals who are passionate about community-based care and improving access to services in rural and remote Australia.
