MovieGroovy started because of a cold pizza and a forty minute scroll.

While trying to pick a movie for a family dinner, we realized that even with endless choices, it was still impossible to choose. My brother had seen everything, my partner wanted action, and my sister-in-law wanted something cozy. We eventually gave up and put on "Friends" for the hundredth time. The food was cold and the night was wasted.

We built MovieGroovy to fix this specific frustration. Most algorithms are designed to keep you clicking for engagement metrics, but we focus on how you feel right now.

What we offer:

- Mood-Based Discovery: You do not search by genre. You search by your mood. Whether you feel adventurous, chill, or in need of a hidden gem, we match the emotional tone of the content to your current state.

- Explainable Recommendations: We do not just give you a list. We explain "Why this?" in plain language to connect the recommendation to your mood.

- Subscription Sync: We filter results based on the platforms you actually have, like Netflix or Disney+, so you only see what you can actually watch.

Our north star is catharsis. We build technology that helps you get to the story faster.

Stop scrolling. Start watching.
