Emil Hoffmann has a range of experience in various roles. Emil started their career as a Disabled Carer at Cepa Mobility in 2007, where they assisted a person with spasticity in their daily tasks and supported their work as a bookkeeper at CEPA. In 2008, Emil became a Personal Instructor at Concept 10 10, a role they held until 2011. After that, Emil worked as a Software Developer at WorkBook Software A/S from September 2011 to December 2011. Emil then joined MovieStarPlanet in March 2012 as a Game Developer. In this role, they contributed to the development of the highly successful online social game for kids, MovieStarPlanet. Additionally, Emil worked on several other projects, such as a tablet device port of MovieStarPlanet, a games portal website, and new game development.

Emil Hoffmann completed their education at Copenhagen Business Academy North from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained an AP degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2007, they attended Billund Air Center and pursued a CPL(H) degree in Helicopter pilot.

MovieStarPlanet ApS is the company behind the games and social networks MovieStarPlanet, BooniePlanet and BlockStarPlanet targeted for kids aged 8-13 years. In the virtual worlds, users design their own MovieStar, BlockStar or Boonie avatar, which is used to play the games and have fun with friends. Some of the key features include dress-up, chat with friends, create looks, make movies and scrapbooks, design clothes, build worlds and prefabs and play mini-games.
