Hernando Rubio

Hernando Rubio is the Co-Founder and CEO of MoviiRed, a Colombian mobile payments company. Hernando has over 25 years of experience in the Colombian telecommunications and payments industries.

Rubio began their career in 1995 as the Director of International Sales for Internations Systems co. Hernando then moved to Pillsbury de Colombia as the Sales Director before taking on the role of Commercial Director for Cruz Blanca EPS.

In 2000, Rubio became the Commercial Director for Cellstar de Colombia. Hernando left Cellstar in 2004 to take on the role of General Manager for Laboratorios Bioimagen. Hernando held this position until 2007 when they became the CEO of Moviired, a mobile payments company. Rubio has been with Moviired ever since, and under their leadership the company has become one of the leading mobile payments providers in Colombia.

Hernando Rubio completed a Financial Inclusion & Microfinance program at Harvard University. Hernando also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. In addition, they have completed a Negotiation & Leadership program at Harvard University. Furthermore, they have completed the Exponential Finance Program at Singularity University. Finally, they have an E-business Managment degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
