Rebecca Mort

Rebecca Mort is an experienced project manager and campaigner currently working at Movilizatorio since February 2023. Previously, Rebecca served as the Programme Coordinator for the Women's Health and Empowerment Programme at the Women on Farms Project from January 2017 to December 2020, focusing on issues related to gender-based violence and health rights for women farm workers and mobilizing rural communities. Additional roles include Committee Member at the National Gender Based Violence and Femicide Interim Steering Committee and Tutor at the University of Cape Town. Rebecca's academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, an Honours in Development Studies and Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economic History, isiXhosa Communications, and English Literature from the University of Cape Town.
