Alam Bains

Alam Bains is a Senior Account & Partnerships Manager at MovingWorlds. Alam has over eight years of experience in the public and private sector, with a focus on political engagement, policy research and analysis, press and public relations, and program and project management.

Bains previously worked as an Associate Director at ILSS - India Leaders for Social Sector, where they were responsible for managing a team of 15 professionals across various functions including research, policy advocacy, media relations, and program management. Alam also worked as a Political, Press & Projects Adviser at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where they were responsible for leading on strategic Press & Communications work as well as Media Management for the High Commission in Northwest India.

Bains has a strong track record of establishing and maintaining partnerships with a broad range of external stakeholders, including the Government, Private Sector, Media, Civil Society and Academia. Alam has also advised the Senior Leadership on strategic initiatives, projects, partnerships and outreach activities.

Alam Bains has a Master's degree in Sociology from Delhi School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Hons) from jobs. Alam also has certification from Philanthropy University in Girl Centered Design, Global Health eLearning Center in Gender M&E, and Global Health eLearning Center in M&E Fundamentals. Finally, they have certification from Coursera in International Organizations Management.
