Maurick Schellekens

Maurick Schellekens has extensive experience in the insurance and financial industry. Maurick most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer at Movir since April 2023. Prior to that, they held various executive positions at NN, including Chief Executive Officer from February 2018 to March 2023 and Chief Financial Officer from August 2016 to January 2018. During their tenure as CFO, they were responsible for creating a framework for measuring and reporting profitability, controlling company expenses, and planning and controlling the Company's capital levels. Before joining NN, Maurick served as the Chief Risk Officer and a board member at ING Asigurari de Viata, from August 2011 to December 2014, where they were responsible for maintaining the risk culture within the organization, enabling risk-weighted decision-making, and overseeing risk management departments. Maurick also held the role of Insurance Risk Manager Central Europe at ING from November 2006 to July 2011. Maurick started their career at ING Asigurari de Viata as the Manager Pricing & ALM in 2008.

Maurick Schellekens earned their Master's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Amsterdam, completing their studies from 1994 to 2002. Following this, they pursued further education at the Actuarieel Genootschap, obtaining the degree of Actuaris Actuarieel Genootschap from 2003 to 2010.
